A key aspect of conscious consumption is transparency regarding production conditions. We are happy to show you exactly how our leather goods are made. Upon entering the BRAUN BÜFFEL leather manufactory, one immediately understands why the buffalo has become a global symbol of high-quality leather accessories: the earthy scent of finely tanned leather fills the air. The manufactory was founded in 1887 in the small, tranquil village of Kirn by Johann Braun as an upholstery and saddlery workshop. Even more than 135 years later, our master leather craftsmen still lovingly handcraft leather goods. To ensure that this craft doesn't die out in Germany, we continue to regularly train apprentices in the rare profession of leather craftsman. In addition to producing our current "Made in Germany" collections, the leather manufactory also builds new prototypes, embosses personalized designs, and conducts detailed material and product inspections. Our master leather craftsmen also provide a lifetime repair service with the utmost care.

In addition to its German factory in Kirn, BRAUN BÜFFEL has been working with excellent partner manufacturers in Asia for decades. Long-standing partnerships and friendships characterize the value chain of its leather goods.

The awareness of traditional values, quality, and craftsmanship has never been lost at Braun Buffalo. However, even in Kirn, the changing values ​​of consumer society were felt in the 1990s and 2000s. The era of good old values ​​was over. "Cheap is better" was incompatible with the standards of a traditional company offering quality goods "Made in Germany."

With increasing price pressure, production was shifted more and more to Asia. The shortage of skilled workers was also a problem. Loyal partnerships based on high standards and shared values ​​were established and have remained closely and transparently interconnected to this day.
